All Myron L handheld instruments are pre-calibrated at the factory using NIST-traceable standard solutions with precisely defined conductivity and TDS (ppm) values. These calibration standards are produced under tightly regulated conditions, using high-purity reagent-grade salts dissolved in ultra-clean deionized water with a resistivity of no less than 5 megohm-centimeters.

Each solution offers an accuracy of ±1%, in alignment with values published in the International Critical Tables and is fully traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for quality assurance and compliance.

The conductivity standards and pH buffers shown below are the same formulations used during factory calibration. For best performance and continued accuracy, it is recommended to recalibrate instruments with these solutions on a regular basis. For devices used daily, monthly recalibration is typically sufficient.

Myron L’s conductivity meters and controller systems can be calibrated in ppm/442, ppm/NaCl, or microsiemens, and each standard solution includes all three corresponding values on its label. The relationship between these measurement scales is also illustrated in the reference tables and charts provided.
