Use this injector to successfully inject chemicals into your pipeline. This back check valve prevents backflow of water from your distribution system that could cause damage to your pump or back fill your chemical storage reservoir.
This backflow preventer has a unique step-up thread that allows you to connect it to either 1/4" or 1/2" female normal pipe thread fittings.
This fitting connects to 1/4" O.D. Tubing
Installation:
Before removing your old injector or installing a brand new one, disconnect power to pumps or motors and depressurize your system to prevent injury, damage or flooding.
Install a tee or fitting into your pipeline at the point of injection to create a 1/4" or 1/2" FNPT (female normal pipe thread) connection.
Hold your injector up to the pipe fitting as if it was installed and visually determine where the center of the pipe is so you can trim off the end of the injection quill ensuring chemical injects into the center of the water stream.
Apply a small amount of Teflon tape to the male threads then carefully tighten.
Connect you pumps discharge tubing and hand tighten connection nut.
