Parker polyethylene (PE) tubing is produced from a high molecular weight resin to provide increased dimensional stability, uniformity and long-term strength. Parker PE tubing meets the FDA and NSF-51 requirements for food contact applications and NSF-61 for potable water.
The tubing may be used in general-purpose instrument applications as well as all food handling applications except holding food during cooking. The black tubing, EB series, contains an ultraviolet inhibitor which is recommended for use in sunlit areas and in close proximity to high, ultraviolet light sources.
Standard black is not approved for food handling applications, but NSF-listed and FDA-compliant black can be ordered on special request. A tube support should be used with this tubing for maximum holding power where end loading, vibration or pressure spikes may occur.

FAQ
Parflex polyethylene (PE) tubing is designed for fluid transfer, potable water, chemical feed, beverage systems, and low-pressure pneumatic applications. It is widely used in water treatment, food & beverage processing, and industrial instrumentation where clean and reliable tubing is required.
NSF 51 and NSF 61 certifications confirm the tubing is suitable for food contact and potable water applications, while FDA compliance ensures materials meet regulatory standards for safe fluid handling in food and beverage industries.
Parflex PE tubing offers high dimensional stability, excellent stress-crack resistance, chemical resistance, and long service life. It is manufactured from virgin resin material to provide consistent performance in industrial and water-treatment systems.
Yes. UV-stabilized variants are available for installations exposed to sunlight or high UV environments. Using the correct tubing type helps prevent cracking, fading, and strength loss over time.
